GULFPORT — Paul A. Lee died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, in Gulfport. He was 76.

Mr. Lee was born in Chase, La., and lived most of his life in Vicksburg. He retired as a technical sergeant from the Air Force after 20 years, serving in the Korean War. He moved to the Gulf Coast after his retirement in 1972.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 119 and the Acacia Lodge No. 49 in Las Vegas. He was a third-degree Mason.

Mr. Lee was of the Baptist faith and served as associate director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Fishing Rodeo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nettie Lee; three sisters, Roma Campbell, Lilly Mae Jones and Nellie Vee Reeves; and two brothers, Johnny and R.T. Lee.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Lee of Gulfport; four sons, Richard Andrew Lee of Asheville, N.C., and David Keith Lee, Michael Warren Lee and Jeffery Paul Lee, all of Gulfport; two sisters, Eva Ramshur and Claudia Norris, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Boyd Lee of Vicksburg; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Burial with military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the service.
