Nichole Ann “Nicki” Taylor died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at her home. She was 19.

A native of Slidell, La., Miss Taylor was a member of Standfield New Life Christian Church. She was a 2008 graduate of Vicksburg High School and attended Hinds Community College in Utica.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Corine and Willie Taylor; her paternal grandfather, Billy Joe Phillips; and her father, Billy D. Phillips.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Percy L. Sr. and Nichole M. Valentine; four brothers, Dominique I. Taylor, Billy D. Taylor, Jermaine Taylor and Nikita Taylor, all of Vicksburg; a stepbrother, Percy L. Valentine Jr. of Vicksburg; one sister, Vanity Taylor of Vicksburg; her paternal grandmother, Evelyn Phillips of Vicksburg; her stepgrandmother, Eugenia V. Murphy of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Foster, Valentine, Phillips, Wallace, Hall, Taylor, Ross and Tyler families.
