Manivanh Chanprasith has joined The Vicksburg Post as a staff reporter.

A native of Fort Smith, Ark., she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She has a background in business finance in New Jersey, where she worked with an investment company as a research analyst. After her time there, she worked at a private public relations company reporting on news and events during Fashion Week in New York City.

Chanprasith is also an editor for a contemporary quarterly Asian women’s magazine, which aims to promote and celebrate successes of Asian-American women.
