Services for Luvenia H. Ellis will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Rock of Ages M.B. Church, 2944 Valley St., with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellis died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at her home. She was 94.

A homemaker, Mrs. Ellis was born in Nitta Yuma. She was a member of New Rock of Ages M.B. Church, where she served as Sunday school superintendent and a Sunday school teacher. She was on the mother board and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Christian Home Society No. 15 and Brothers & Sisters of Zion.
