Nichole “Nicki” Ann Taylor died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 19.

Ms. Taylor was born in Slidell, La. She was a 2008 graduate of Vicksburg High School and a student at Hinds Community College in Utica. She was a member of Standfield New Life Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy D. Phillips Jr.; maternal grandparents, Corine and Willie Taylor; and paternal grandfather, Billy Joe Phillips Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Nichole M. Valentine, and stepfather, Percy L. Valentine Sr., both of Vicksburg; four brothers, Billy D. Taylor and Nikita Taylor, both of Vicksburg, and Dominque I. Taylor and Jermaine Taylor; a stepbrother, Percy L. Valentine Jr. of Vicksburg; and a sister, Vanity Taylor of Vicksburg. She is also survived by her grandmother, Evelyn Phillips of Vicksburg; step-grandmother Eugenia V. Murphy of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, cousins and members of the Foster, Valentine, Phillips Wallace, Hall, Taylor, Strong, Rounds, Ross and Tyler families of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Standfield New Life Christian Church with the Rev. John H. Williams officiating. Burial, directed by W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home, will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 this evening.
