CHICAGO — Otis “O.D.” Lyons died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at his home in Chicago. He was 80.

Mr. Lyons was born in Claiborne County to the late James Lyons and Ellen Devine Lyons. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Lyons, Francis Lyons and Carrie Lee Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lyons of Chicago; two daughters, Tiffiany Lyons and Tiara Lyons, both of Chicago; eight brothers, Jerry “Jack” Lyons of Richmond, Calif., Jerry “Red” Lyons of Pascagoula and Robert Lee Mobley, Jim Lyons, Herry Lyons, Johnny Lyons, Walter Lyons and Earl Lyons, all of Vicksburg; two sisters, Millicent Lyons Major of Aurora, Ill., and Lucinda Lyons McDonald of Vicksburg; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
