Members of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 7, are putting out the call to fellow Scouts and associates to mark the local troop’s 75th anniversary.

The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 7, will celebrate its 75th anniversary at 6 Saturday night at the KC Hall, a week from today at 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church and a banquet at 10 that morning, also at the KC Hall. Events are free. For information, contact Johnny Nassour at johnnymo@canufly.net.
The reunion will begin Saturday night with a social from 6 until 9 at the Knights of Columbus Hall off Fisher Ferry. On the next morning, at 8:30, Scouts will join to attend Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church. A banquet at 10 a.m. will be at the KC Hall. The events are free.
Organizers are seeking all connected with the troop since its inception to attend.
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Council 898, Troop 7, was chartered Feb. 8, 1934, in the Kickapoo Area Council in Vicksburg with C.W. “Bud” Tacke as Scoutmaster.
The council has been registered with the Jackson-based Andrew Jackson Council since 1936.
A pancake supper is also planned, at 5:30 p.m. March 7 at the KC Hall. Tickets are $5.
