Dr. Greg and Gail Walters of Siloam Springs, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Renee of Plano, Texas, to Oren DeVaughn Bailess III, also of Plano. Mr. Bailess is the son of the late Oren Bailess Jr. of Madisonville, La., and Lance and Virginia Boswell of Marble Falls, Texas.

Miss Walters is the granddaughter of Clyde and June Swint of Siloam Springs and the late Harold Walters and the late Janie McDonald.

Mr. Bailess is the grandson of Oren and Betty Ann Bailess of Vicksburg and the late Owen and Lucille Kennedy of Marble Falls.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Siloam Springs High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she received a degree in education.

Miss Walters is a first-grade teacher at Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of St. Aloysius High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he received a degree in family consumer sciences.

Mr. Bailess is a district manager at Abercrombie & Fitch in Dallas.

Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. March 14, 2009, at First United Methodist Church of Dallas. A reception will follow at Belo Mansion in the Dallas Arts District.
