Hersey Banks Wilson died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 59.

Born in Fayette, Mrs. Wilson graduated in 1968 from Rosa A. Temple High School. She was a graduate of Hinds Junior College and was retired from Anderson-Tully Co. She was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church, where she served as president of the Usher Board.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lucille Wyatt Brown, William Banks and Julia Banks; a brother, Otis Lee Banks Sr.; her father, William H. Banks Sr.; and her mother, Evelyn Banks James.

Survivors include two daughters, Tonya Denise Warner of Jackson and Evelyn Annette Wilson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Richard Banks Sr. and William H. Banks Jr., both of Vicksburg; one stepbrother, Eddie Lee James of Jackson; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
