Helen Franklin, left, stopped to “see the puppies” as she drove along Chambers Street Tuesday while Madison Maynord, 7, center, and her brother, Brandon, 9, were walking Mojo, left, and Jojo, both miniature dachshunds. Madison was also keeping an eye out for an ice cream truck. “I love animals,” said Franklin, who works for the Vicksburg Warren School District.
