Adams Street work

Work is progressing on Adams Street, near its intersection with Mundy Street to replace an old concrete bridge that had been closed because its integrity was threatened. On Wednesday, John Duren, owner of Duren Construction of Vaiden, was using a trackhoe to dig out a space for the next section. Duren is a subcontractor for the company that was awarded the $355,520.56 bid, Pace Brothers Contractor. If weather cooperates, Duren said, the new bridge could be complete in April.
