Carrie Bell Hall Jones died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at her home. She was 72.

Born in Issaquena County, Mrs. Jones was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hall; her husband, James Jones Jr.; a brother, Robert Hall; and four sisters, Catherine Hall, Idella Baker, Irene Johnson and Calanthus Otis.

She is survived by three daughters, Alma Jones and Carolyn Jefferson, both of Vicksburg, and Jimmie Jones of New Augusta, Miss.; one son, James Jones Jr. of Carrollton, Texas; three grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
