Two wrought-iron candelabrums holding white pillars illuminated sprays of white lilies and larkspur, red carnations and Christmas greenery. Honorary pews were marked with reflexed red roses and Christmas greenery wrapped in tulle. A red velvet bow and greenery adorned the memorial candle.

Organist Sheila Hess presented a program of nuptial music. Mothers and grandmothers were seated to Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” The bridal party entered to Pachelbel’s “Canon in D,” followed by Clarke’s “Trumpet Voluntary.” Soloist Riley Harper sang “The Lord’s Prayer” by Malotte and “I Will Be Here” by Steven Chapman.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown created with a strapless, sweetheart bodice and a dropped, cinched waist. Embroidery descended the A-line skirt from the waist to the chapel-length train.

Her white-tulle veil was trimmed in silver beads.

She carried a nosegay of cherry-brandy roses, white Akito roses and Christmas greenery laced at the stems with silver ribbon.

Maid of honor was Brooke Elise Marble of Bentonville, Ark. Matron of honor was Shannon Thomason Emerson of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Ashley Nicole Vinzant of Hattiesburg and Summer Michelle Brown, Brandi Rae Toney and Kelsey Renee Mixon, all of Vicksburg.

The attendants wore scooped, strapless gowns of black satin with soft ruching and pick-up skirts trimmed at the waist with turquoise-ribbon sashes. They each carried hand-gathered nosegays of reflexed white Akito roses, white alstroemeria lilies and greenery accented at the stems with silver ribbons.

Flower girls were Morgan Rivers Emerson and Megan Ansleigh Emerson, both of Vicksburg. They tossed white flower petals and wore gowns featuring a sleeveless bodice and tulle skirt adorned at the waist with turquoise ribbon.

Jan Michael Cecil of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Michael Brasfield, Justin Rone May, Glenn William Matthews and John Carl Emerson, all of Vicksburg; Brian Lavell Hall of Jackson; and Michael Jeffery Haden of Hattiesburg.

Usher was Christopher Bevan Smith of Vicksburg.

Ring bearer was Hayden Bryant Allen of Bentonville.

The bride’s mother wore a two-piece ensemble of shimmering black and silver featuring a longsleeve jacket and beaded collar.

The groom’s mother wore a two-piece dress of shimmering copper with a three-quarter-sleeve bolero jacket and a beaded collar.

Both mothers carried petite, hand-gathered nosegays of white Akito roses.

A reception followed at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.

Guests were entertained with music by The Chill.

The couple will make their home in Vicksburg.

Out-of-state guests were from Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama and Florida.
