Northwest Rankin rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Saturday to beat Warren Central 5-4 in the season-opener for both teams.

Kaitlyn Patton drove in one run and scored another for WC, and Shelbi Conerly had two hits. Sissy Hearn and Anna Griffing also knocked in runs. Jamie Huston had a two-run homer for Northwest Rankin in the first inning.

WC will play Vicksburg High on Monday night in a make-up game of Friday’s rainout.
