Wilson to wed Warner April 4 at Solid Rock

The engagement of Melinda Latreece Wilson to Robert Earl Warner, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. April 4, 2009, at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. A reception will follow at the Battlefield Inn. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Wilson is the daughter of Mary Williams Jackson and Willie M. Jackson, both of Eagle Lake, and Issac Wilson of Starkville. She is the granddaughter of the late George and Mary Williams of Eagle Lake and the late Gladys McDowell of Vicksburg.

Mr. Warner is the son of Rosiemary Warner of Bovina, Minnie Hicks Mann of Vicksburg and Robert Fields of Michigan. He is the grandson of Henry B. Warner and the late Lucy Warner of Bovina and the late Richard Fields of Belzoni.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the FTA, Student Council, varsity choir and DECA. She was a cheerleader and Beauty and Beau participant and was chosen Class Favorite and Homecoming maid.

She is a 2007 graduate of Hinds Community College, where she was a dean’s scholar and received an associate degree in child development technology.

She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in child development from Alcorn State University, where she is a member of Kappa Omicron Nu honor society and the Child Development Club.

Miss Wilson is a communication clerk at River Region Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the varsity basketball and track teams.

He received a CDL license from SEC Professional Training in Flowood.

Mr. Warner is employed at Southern Beverage Company.
