Warren County woman charged with stealing dog

A Vicksburg woman was released from the Warren County Jail after being charged Monday with stealing her neighbor’s dog.
Billie Karen Galey, 49, 245 CJ Fisher Drive, was served a warrant for her arrest at 12:10 p.m. Monday after the owner of the dog filed an affidavit stating that Galey had taken the dog, said Sheriff Martin Pace.
The dog was returned to its owner, Pace said. Galey was out on a $2,500 bond.
House, car burglaries reported in Vicksburg
Two residential burglaries and an auto burglary were reported in Vicksburg Monday.
A Rigid table saw valued at $700 and a ceramic-tile saw valued at $500 were reported missing at 9:28 a.m. from a home in the 800 block of Adam Street.
A Jemeze Arms .22 caliber pistol valued at $130 was reported missing at 7:15 p.m. from a home in the 100 block of Walters Street.
A motorcycle helmet with an American flag painted on it was reported missing from a 2008 Mazda at 8:41 a.m. in the Wal-Mart SuperCenter parking lot, 2150 Iowa Blvd. The helmet was valued at $150.
The owner of a 2009 Ford Bronco reported $12 was missing from the vehicle at 5:02 a.m. today in the 700 block of Monroe Street.
Robbery reported in Hamilton Heights
A Hamilton Heights subdivision resident told police he was just outside his home when he was robbed by a man who said he had a gun.
The victim said he was outside his home in the 500 block of Melrose Avenue at 12:35 p.m. Monday when a man walked up, said he had a gun and stole $30 from him, said Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department.
The victim described the suspect as a black male, 18 to 20 years old, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds, and wearing a black-and-white hooded sweatshirt, Stewart said.
SUV reported missing from auto center
An auto theft was reported at 5:48 p.m. Friday at the Plaza Auto Service and Tire Center, 1850 S. Frontage Raod.
Owners of the center reported a 2007 black Infinite SUV was taken from the service lot.
After reviewing surveillance tapes, owners noticed the SUV was taken at 1:08 p.m.
Burglary reported at restaurant
A business burglary was reported at Bumpers Drive-in, 120 Mississippi 27, at 12:11 a.m. Sunday.
About $350 was reported missing from the steel front lock-box inside the business.
An alarm triggered the response.
Four wrecks injure four in county
Four car wrecks during the weekend sent four people to River Region Medical Center.
At 10:14 a.m. Friday, a two-car wreck in the 900 block of U.S. 61 North sent James Norsey, 54, 2505 Warriors Trail, to River Region.
He was treated and released the same day, said Allen Karel, River Region spokesman.
At 12:02 p.m. Friday, a one-car wreck in the 4600 block of Oak Ridge Road sent Valerie Lewis, 19, 9846 Oak Ridge Road, to the hospital.
She was treated and released the same day, said Karel.
At 1:14 p.m. Saturday, a one-car wreck in the 7700 block of Interstate 20 East sent Curtis Dunaway, 54, 767 Homeville Road, Bouge Chitto, to River Region.
He was admitted but was released Monday, said Karel.
At 3:16 a.m. Saturday, a one-car wreck in the 4100 block of Washington Street sent two Vicksburg women to the hospital.
Catherine Hubert, 50, and Lachanda Little, 30, both of 575 Old River Road, were treated and released the same day, said Karel.
