LUFKIN, Texas — Eddie Turner, formerly of Mayersville, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was 59.

Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Louise Turner of Lufkin, Texas; two sons, Michael Turner of Chester, Texas, and Eddie Charles Turner of Lufkin; one daughter, Marion Turner of Lufkin; a brother, Albert Turner of Orland Hills, Ill.; five sisters, Sarah Turner and Parlee Turner, both of Chicago, Lou Hudson of Memphis, Marie Murphy of Greenville and Julia O. Turner of Horn Lake; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter M.B. Church in Mayersville with Pastor Larry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.
