Two people were injured late Wednesday morning when a 1994 Cadillac DeVille was rear-ended by a log truck on U.S. 61 North at its intersection with North Washington Street. Here, paramedics carry Cadillac passenger Ty Strickland, 30, 585 County Road No. 121, Quitman, to an ambulance. The car’s driver, Rodney Greer, 27, 208 Masonite Drive, Laurel, had just turned north onto 61 from North Washington and was attempting to turn right into a convenience store when the 1991 Mack logging truck driven by Ronnie Wallace, 31, 4561 Farmers Road, Smithdale, hit him. Strickland and Greer were treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said. The truck driver was not injured. Both drivers were cited for misdemeanors, said Vicksburg Police officer Erik Paymon.
