U-6 Girls
Latest Craze 8, Metro One Hour Air 4- Scoring for Latest Craze were Madison Banks (three goals), Taylor Chewning (three) and Catherine Adcock (two). Scoring for Metro were Cassidy Lampkin (three) and Leah Larson. Brooklyn Hart contributed an assist.
U-10 Girls
RiverHills Bank 9, Cowart Construction 0 – Kristen Martin had a hat trick, and Amanda Boleware and Natalie Reynolds each scored two goals. Drew Barnes scored a goal for RiverHills Bank.
Vicksburg Optimist 3, C&W Homes 1 – Mikayla Banks scored a hat trick for the Vicksburg Optimist. Mary Ranager scored for C&W.
Thomas Dental Excellence 7, Roy’s Const. 0 – Jaime Gilliam scored five goals. Sierra Shelton and Megan Stewart scored one each in the win for Thomas Dental Excellence.
RiverHills Bank 9, Vicksburg Optimist 0 – Amanda Boleware led the scoring for RiverHills Bank with a hat trick, followed by Ansley Plunk with two goals. Mackenzie Keller, Kristen Martin, Anne Stewart Piazza and Natalie Reynolds each scored one goal.
Thomas Dental 5, Cowart Construction 2 – Jaime Gilliam scored a hat trick while Mya Semi and Morgan Stewart each scored one goal for Thomas Dental Excellence. Emily Adcock scored two goals for Cowart.
C&W Homes 7, Roy’s Construction 1 – Katelyn Morson had a hat trick and Mary Ranager scored twice for C&W. Addie Hale and Rae Massey Hale each scored one goal for C&W Homes. Brittany Palmer scored for Roy’s.
U-16 Girls
VSO WAV United 2, NW Rankin 1 – Noel Butler scored the first goal of the season for the WAV with an assist from Shannon Richter, who also scored the clincher on a penalty kick.
U-19 Girls
VSO WAV 1, Pearl 0 – Taylor George scored the only goal of the contest on a penalty kick, and the VSO squad blanked Pearl.
VSO WAV 7, Terry 2 – Scoring for the WAV were Becky Wilson (two goals), Taylor Hasty (two), Kayla Kelly, Taylor George, and Dana Warnock. Assists were tallied by Taylor George (three), Taylor Hasty (two), and Kayla Kelly.
U10 Boys
Timber Group 5, Skeeter Deer Stands 2 – Hunt Holdiness scored four goals and Joseph Hutchinson scored one for the Timber Group in the victory. Chance Williams scored both of Skeeter’s goals in the loss.
The Timber Group 4, Bottin Consulting Group 2 – Hunt Holdiness scored three goals and Hank Holdiness had one. Connor Bottin scored both of Bottin’s goals.
Bottin Consulting Group 4, Skeeter Deer Stands 0 – Connor Bottin and Michael James scored two goals apiece for Bottin.
U-12 Boys
Clinton 3, VSO 2 – Casey Griffith and Lofton Varner scored a goal apiece for VSO. Clinton’s scorers were Stephen Maccarone with two goals, and Logan Williamson with one.
Vicksburg schedules spring tennis camp
The City of Vicksburg will host a spring tennis camp for children ages 8-17 and adults from March 9 until March 13 at Halls Ferry Park.
The childrens’ camp will run from 4 to 7 p.m. each day and the adult camp is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. each day. The cost is $25 per person. Registration forms can be found at The Vicksburg Post, Just Duett Sports and the Sports Center.
Vicksburg Swim Association fundraiser
There will be a fundraiser for the Vicksburg Swim Association on Tuesday at McAlister’s Deli from 5-9 p.m. Ten percent of all sales go to the team. For information, call 601-636-3759.
Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament
The Tallulah Bass Club will host the first Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament on Saturday at Lake Bruin State Park at 5 a.m. Registration forms can be picked up from any Tallulah Bass Club member or any bait shop in Jackson, Vicksburg or Tallulah.
