Sid Ervin, a longtime bee handler, works Wednesday to remove a nest of honey bees from the walls at Brenda Brown’s home at 3062 Wisconsin Ave. Ervin said he believes the nest had been getting larger on the wall for about 2 years. Brown, who moved into the house about a month ago, said she noticed the bees coming from cracks in the siding and had been spraying them with wasp spray but they kept coming. When Ervin began removing the siding, he discovered the nest that Brown said was unlike anything she’d ever seen.
