Services for Essie Mae Newsome will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Union M.B. Church with the Rev. Andrew Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. Friday at Robbins Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.

Mrs. Newsome died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 52.

She was of Baptist faith and worked at Jacques.’

She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Newsome and Lee Newsome, both of Vicksburg, and David Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Sheena Newsome and Tanisha Newsome, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, Sam Wilson and Fadell Wilson, both of Vicksburg, and Billy Wilson Sr. of Utica; three sisters, Betty King and Dorothy Stampley, both of Vicksburg, and Annette Franklin of Utica; 11 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
