Vesta P. Logue

Vesta P. Logue died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. She was 88.

Born in Haskell, Ark., she was the daughter of the late O.C. Patterson and Eula Newcombe Patterson.

Mrs. Logue was a former resident of Vicksburg and Union City, Tenn., and had lived in Springdale, Ark., for the past three years. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Albert “Bee” Logue Sr. and F.M. Logue; two sisters, Reba Smith and Theda Potts; one brother, Woodrow Patterson; and a granddaughter, Kelly Barnette.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Corley of Epps, La., and Rachel Chancellor of Springdale; three sons, Dan Barnette of Aberdeen, Wilson Barnette of Tallulah and Bee Logue Jr. of Platte City, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren. 

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Kent Campbell, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from noon Friday until the service.
