Bettye Jean Bailey died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 63.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Cornelius Proctor; and one sister, Shirley Wilson.

She is survived by her parents, the Rev. F.W. and Lucinda Wilson of Vicksburg; her biological father, John Henry Bailey of Chicago; two daughters, Michele Renee Bailey and Vickie Y. Bailey, both of Vicksburg; one son, Michael A. Bailey of Las Vegas; six sisters, Julia W. James, LeVern W. Powell, Dylinda W. Younger and Cynthia Wilson, all of Vicksburg, Barbara Wilson of Clinton and Cheryl W. Hall of Memphis; five brothers, the Rev. Robert Wilson, the Rev. Flem Wilson Jr. and Herman Wilson, all of Las Vegas, the Rev. Joe Wilson of Seattle, Wash., and Austin Wilson of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
