City man arrested after calling for help

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail Thursday for a bad check.

Timothy, M. Ross, 32, 1103 Jefferson St., was arrested at 2:54 p.m. at U.S. 61 and Mississippi 27 after he placed a call to authorities about a problem he was having, said Constable Glenn McKay.

He was found to have an outstanding warrant. No information was given on the problem when he called authorities.

Ross was out on a $2,500 bond.

Equipment, couch among missing items

An auto burglary and a residential burglary were reported in Vicksburg Thursday.

A Rockford Fosgate 600-watt amplifier valued at $600 and two 12-inch Kicker speakers valued at $1,000 were reported missing from a 1995 Chevy Suburban at 8:47 a.m. in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North.

A two-piece sectional couch valued at $2,000 was reported missing from a home at 3:43 p.m. in the 1400 block of Second North Street.
