Gaithers headed to Jackson, Southaven

The Gaither Vocal Band will entertain folks in Mississippi twice in the coming weeks.

The hit Southern gospel artists will bring the Gaither Homecoming “Lovin’ Life” Tour 2009 to the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson March 21 and the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven March 27. They will perform hits from their latest CD, “Lovin’ Life.”

The group has won Grammys, Doves and other awards. This year, “Lovin’ Life” won a Grammy for Best Southern, Country, Bluegrass Gospel Album, the eighth for the band.

“Our audiences over the years have been so gracious and supportive that now, more than 40 years after quitting our day jobs to pursue music full time, we are still shaking our heads at how far beyond our imagination this path has taken us,” Bill Gaither said in a statement.
