Lucille Davis Harris died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 63.

Mrs. Harris was a member of Rock of Ages M.B. Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of Vicksburg and Zion Evangelical Baptist Church of New Rochelle, N.Y. She attended Liddell High School in Jefferson County and Rosa A. Temple High School. She was a certified nursing assistant at United Hebrew Geriatric Center for 29 years in New Rochelle.

She was preceded in death by her father, G.W. Davis; and a brother, Charles W. Gaines.

Survivors include a daughter, Hyacinth St. Louis of Vicksburg; her mother, Evelyn G. Graham of Vicksburg; three sisters, Geraldine McDonald Benson of Jackson and Georgia Gaines and Patricia Graham, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Lonelle Davis and Nathaniel Gaines, both of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including Viola Scott.

Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
