Walter Bell Sr.

Walter Bell Sr. died Monday, March 2, 2009, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was 75.
Mr. Bell was born in Morgan City, Miss., and was a member of New Foundation Baptist Church. He retired from International Paper after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dollie Williams-Lee and Robert and Daisy Bell; two brothers, Elijah Williams and James Bell; and one sister, Mary Alice Grover.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Williams Bell of Vicksburg; 10 sons, Walter Bell Jr., Walter Williams, Gerald Bell, Dawn Bell, Kenneth Bell, Brian Bell and Jamaal Bell, all of Vicksburg, Nathaniel Bell of Afghanistan, Keith Cooper of Yazoo City and Eric Cooper of Jackson; five daughters, Annette Morris of Arcola, Miss., Yvonne Newton and Janet Dudley, both of Vicksburg, Linda Faye Brown of McComb and Maxine Cooper of Yazoo City; a brother, Johnny Williams Sr. of Chicago; 39 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Clyde Smith, Catherine Brown and Bill Harrison.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
