St. Andrew’s pitcher Kristin Long fired a four-hit shutout against St. Aloysius, and helped her own cause with a pair of big hits.

Long went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, two of them coming on a homer over the center field fence in the top of the seventh inning. She also had an RBI single during a three-run fifth that broke a scoreless tie. Ashton King went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for St. Andrew’s (7-0).

Haley Heggins had a double for St. Al (7-3), which loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh but couldn’t score.
