The engagement of Vernita Jenkins to Thomas Edward Tubbs, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. April 25, 2009, at Pleasant Valley Church, U.S. 61 North. A reception will follow at Unique Banquet Hall on Mississippi 27. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Jenkins is the daughter of Indiana Jenkins of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Ollie and Dorothy Jenkins.

She is employed at Belk.

Mr. Tubbs is the son of the late Charlie and Beatrice Tubbs. He is the grandson of the late Frank and Laura Mace.

He is employed at Anderson-Tully.
