Stepp, Hanks marry in private ceremony

Michael Ray Stepp and Amy Page Hanks were married at 2 p.m. Feb. 21, 2009, in a private ceremony. Dr. Charles Scrivener of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of William and Lelia Hanks of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Robin and Joan McNeill of Pink Bluff, Ark., and Tina Hanks and the late James W. Hanks of Batesville.

The groom is the son of Vurlon Jr. and Kathy Stepp of Pearl and Nancy Colley and George Williams of Meridian. He is the grandson of John and Verdie Myers and the late Lacy Myers of Madison and Vurlon Sr. and Jean Stepp of Richland.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her chosen colors were navy, pale blue and cream.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Easthaven Clubhouse in Clinton.

Hostesses were Shelia Lyons and Sydney Cunningham, both of Byram; Suzanne Robertson of Pearl; and Della Coleston of Clinton.

Tea girl was Danielle Myers, niece of the groom.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

They will make their home in Clinton. The bride is employed at Burns Cooley Dennis Inc. of Ridgeland, and the groom is employed at Speedco Inc. in Flowood.

Showers

The bride’s parents hosted a wedding shower at their home in Vicksburg.

The Singles Department of Morrison Heights Church honored the bride with a shower.
