Boyd’s Car Care was granted permission on Tuesday to construct a concrete bay measuring 18-by-28-feet next to an existing building at 1120 Openwood St. by the Vicksburg Board of Architectural Review.

The bay is to match the existing building and two other bays at the business. Paula Wright of the planning department said she would also approve other requests for improvements in house, such as paving a gravel lot, relocating a dumpster and removing a fence.

The board approved the application unanimously and without discussion or comments. There was no public objection, nor any representation by Boyd’s Car Care. Board members present were Dorwin Shields, Charlie Gholson, Tom Pharr, Thurman Nelson and Sue Seratt. The board also approved minutes from Feb. 10.
