Myrick and Downey to marry on April 25

The engagement of Holley Anne Myrick to Christopher Neal Downey, both of Starkville, is announced today. The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. April 25, 2009, at Double D Ranch of Vicksburg. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Myrick is the daughter of Lovie Myrick of Vicksburg and Joe Myrick of Lanark Village, Fla. She is the granddaughter of James and Juaweece Lovern of Philadelphia and Ann Myrick of Carribelle, Fla.
Mr. Downey is the son of David and Penny Downey of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Frances Downey and the late Herbert Downey and Bob and Norma McKee, all of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the swim team, choir and DECA. She attended Hinds Community and Pearl River Community colleges.
Miss Myrick is employed at Eden MediSpa in Columbus and at the Mississippi State University Research Laboratory in Starkville.
The prospective groom is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he played golf and soccer. He attended Hinds Community, Jones Community and East Mississippi Community colleges.
Mr. Downey is employed at J.C. Penney in Starkville and will attend Mississippi State University in the fall.
