On March 26, Alcorn State University in Lorman will host High School Day for students to get information on school enrollment, financial aid, degree programs, student life and housing.

Staff and faculty will be on hand to answer questions from students and parents.

“It’s an opportunity for high school students and parents to come on campus and find out more information,” said Clara Stamps of the marketing department for Alcorn School of Business.

She compared the day to a school orientation. Stamps said the day would also be “getting parents more involved.”

Admission applications will be available and a university counselor will be on hand for students’ questions on which classes to take.

High School Day will have a scheduled agenda and kick off with a welcome note from Alcorn State University President Dr. George Ross.

Students also will be given a tour of university housing and the campus.

A professional DJ from a local radio station will be broadcasting the event live, and the university will host a pep rally to end the day.

Any student interested in attending may call the Admissions Office at 601-877-6148 or 1-800-222-6790.
