Cherry Street meth suspect faces new charge for chemicals

A Vicksburg man who was arrested with his wife on charges of cooking methamphetamine in the Cherry Street home they shared with their two small children was arrested again early this morning on similar charges.
Charles Dudley White, 27, 2409 Cherry St., was arrested at 12:50 and charged with possession of precursor chemicals.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said this morning that White was arrested at his home after surveillance throughout Wednesday by officers from his office and from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
He remained in the Warren County Jail without bond late this morning.
White and his wife, Bethany Ann White, 25, were arrested Oct. 21 at the Cherry Street home, where officers from the sheriff’s department, the Vicksburg Police Department and MBN found evidence that at least 23 batches of the highly volatile meth had been cooked in the house where the couple’s children, ages 1 and 4, were living. The children are in the custody of a relative, Pace said.
Bethany White was not at home during this morning’s arrest because she is being held in the Issaquena County Jail on city charges.
The street value of the drugs believed manufactured in the house was placed in October at $30,000 by Pace.
After their arrests, the two were held in the Warren County Jail on $250,000 bond each until they bonded out separately in December.
Pace said this morning that test results have been returned from the state crime lab and the Whites’ October cases are expected to be presented to the May term of the Warren County grand jury.
