Delois Shelby died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 61.

Mrs. Shelby was born in Bolton to the late Harvey and Fannie Shelby. She was a former member of Brownsville M.B. Church in Bolton and attended Ratliff Chapel M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include five children, Lyndon Shelby of Houston, Texas, Lendell Shelby of Jackson, Gracery Mack of Pelahatchie and Debra Lyons and Demonia Hodge, both of Edwards; six sisters, Bernice Taylor of Jackson, Sarah Green and Mary Louise Shelby, both of Chicago, and Velma Shelby, Eva Shelby and Georgia Shelby, all of Edwards; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brownsville M.B. Church in Bolton. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
