Vicksburg man faces third DUI charge

A Vicksburg man was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-offense felony DUI.
Derrick L. Brown, 31, 203 Signal Hill Drive, was arrested by Vicksburg Police at 11 a.m. Wednesday, jail records said. He was released on $5,000 bond.
Rope, CD players among items missing
Three auto burglaries were reported in the city Wednesday and today.
* Braided rope, pulleys and brakes valued at about $1,300 were reported missing at 3:05 this morning from a 1997 Ford F-250 at the Battlefield Inn, 4137 Interstate 20 Frontage Road.
* A Pioneer stereo/CD player valued at $225 was reported missing at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday from a 1996 Chevy Caprice at the Confederate Ridge Apartments, 780 U.S. 61 N.
* A CD player valued at $60, girls’ clothing valued at $60, five packs of earrings valued at $40, $100 and personal items were reported missing at 7:07 a.m. Wednesday from a 2007 Nissan Sentra in the 2300 block of Letitia Street.
Separately, in Warren County, a Pioneer car radio valued at $288 was reported missing at 3:24 p.m. Wednesday from a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North.
