Ruby Louise Cockrell

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Ruby Louise Cockrell died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Roper Hospital. She was 66.

Mrs. Cockrell was born in Highlandale, Miss. and attended schools in Mississippi. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Reidinger; a son, Thomas Cockrell; a grandchild, Shane Alan Walker; a brother, Thomas Ingram; and two sisters, Mildred King and Betty Sherman.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Dale Cockrell; a son, Gary Reidinger of Charleston; four daughters, Mary Katherine Harmon of Summerville, Stella Daffron of Charleston, Louise Reidinger of Texas and Sandra Ellis of Jackson; three brothers, James Thomas Ingram of Vicksburg, Bobby Jean Ingram of Greensville, Miss., and Grover Ingram of Highlandale; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be this evening from 5 until 8.
