John H. and Gracie Daniel of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Natae, to Walter Dennis Jr. Mr. Dennis is the son of Cynthia Dennis and the late Walter Dennis of Houston, Texas.

Miss Daniel is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Clayton and Emma Williams of Vicksburg.

Mr. Dennis is the grandson of Clara Ewing of Houston.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of Total Sound and Madrigals.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 2003.

Miss Daniels is an ELA secondary teacher for the Fort Bend Independent School District.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Lamar High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Prairie View A&M University, where he was a member of BISA.

Mr. Dennis is a physical education teacher for the Houston Independent School District.

Vows will be exchanged in a private ceremony May 2, 2009, at Cedar Grove Mansion. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
