Southern Miss football coach Larry Fedora announced Monday that this Friday’s scheduled spring workout and scrimmage will be moved to Madison Central High School.
Practice time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and the Golden Eagles will go through drills before finishing the workout with their first scrimmage of the spring. Fans and media are invited to attend the open workout.
“This gives our fans outside of the Hattiesburg area a unique way to get a chance to see this team prepare for next year, as well as view first-hand the amount of effort and preparation it takes to get ready for the season,” said Fedora. “Our Jackson area fans will get to see us scrimmage for the first time this spring.”
The practice will be the sixth of 15 scheduled workouts for the Golden Eagles. The drills will culminate April 18 with the annual Black and Gold Spring Game.
Game time is set for 6 p.m., at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Please note that tickets will be $15 for adults the day of the contest.
