Vikings top St. Joe for a second time

Warren Central used a dominating doubles effort to beat Greenville-St. Joe for the second time in four days Tuesday, 5-1 in Greenville.
In boys doubles, Clay Koestler and Tom Melby won 6-3, 6-1 and Braddock Oakes and Jalen Dagher won 6-3, 4-6, (10-7). The girls doubles teams of Bailey Howington and Jill McVan won 6-1, 6-4, while the second doubles team of Katie Humphries and Lauren Pratt won 6-2, 6-1. Stuart English and Lacey Anderson dropped their second set in a mixed doubles match, but rallied to win 6-3, 1-6, (10-5) in the tiebreaking third set.
Greenville-St. Joe’s only winner was Tyler Key in boys singles. He beat Jamel Dagher 6-1, 6-3.
The girls singles match between WC’s Shelby Claire Liddell and Kristen DeAngelo was cut short by rain with DeAngelo leading 6-3, 5-3 in the second set.
