Jeffrey Wayne Evans died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 22.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Evans was a member of Redbone United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Moore; and his paternal grandparents, John D. and Fannie Lee.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Sue Brooks Evans of Vicksburg; one brother, John Paul Evans of Vicksburg; four sisters, Rachel Harrell, Erin Mathews and Megan Evans, all of Vicksburg, and Kristi Acuff of Baton Rouge; and his maternal grandmother, Vernie Moore.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at Redbone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh McBride, Jordan McBride, Fletch Batchelor, John Cochran, Jamey Nettles, Lindsey Wright, Justin Moore and Chris Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Harrell, Brad Mathews, Trey Acuff, Eddie Nettles, Dr. Dominic Esposito and Frances Spinoza.

Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children or the Ronald McDonald House.
