Bennie J. Smith and Meelisa A. Leach were married at 2 p.m. Feb. 14, 2009, at the home of the groom’s sister, 8606 Oak Ridge Road. Isiah Brewer Sr. officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Curtis Leach and the late Martha Leach of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Leach and Martha Rodgers and the late James Rodgers of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Lee Smith and the late Kathleen Smith of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were fuchsia pink and white.

Maid of honor was Rita Foster of Vicksburg. Lee Smith of Vicksburg served as best man.

Flower girls were Jennifer and Jessica Ainsworth and Mia Smith of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Bradley Leach of Vicksburg.

A reception followed at the home.

For a wedding trip, the couple will travel to Florida.

They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is employed at Vicksburg High School, and the groom is employed with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
