CHICAGO — Alex Ware died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Chicago. He was 70.

Mr. Ware was the son of John and Mamie Ware.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ware; two sons; six brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by four daughters; three sons; two sisters, Mary Handy and Ida Price, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Johnny Ware of Dallas, Texas; and cousins, friends and other relatives, including Jessie and Jo Ann Harris of Cleveland, Ohio.
