Jimmy and Nell Blackmon of Delhi, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Ginger of Edwards, to Jon Michael Ruggles. Mr. Ruggles is the son of Karen Ruggles and the late Dr. James E. Ruggles of Vicksburg.

Miss Blackmon is the granddaughter of Mildred Hosea and the late James Hosea and the late Jim and Dot Blackmon.

Mr. Ruggles is the grandson of Eniver Ruggles and the late Paul Ruggles and the late Chris and Lillian Pfitzer.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Delhi High School. She received a registered dental hygienist degree from Northeast Louisiana University and is a dental hygienist for Dr. Don Jackson.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Warren Central High School. He attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University, where he received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

He is a veterinarian at Vicksburg Animal Hospital.

Vows will be exchanged May 9, 2009, at Jordan’s Chapel in Vicksburg.
