Charles “Norment” McElvoy and Katherine Elaine “Katie” Allen were married in a private ceremony March 21, 2009, at the home of the bride. The Rev. Marvin E. Curtis Jr., pastor of Warrenton Baptist Church, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of June Quidor and the late Bill Allen of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Annie Mae Reed of Vicksburg and Tom and Mary Allen of Cottondale, Ala., and the late Decota Allen.

The groom is the son of Penny L. and Jackie L. McElvoy of Brownsville. He is the grandson of Charles E. and Gladys R. Ellis and Norment “Wink” and Melba W. McElvoy, all of Bolton.

Matron of honor was Nina Andrews. Jackie McElvoy served as best man.

A reception followed the ceremony.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

They will make their home in Vicksburg, where the bride is employed at American Specialty Commercial Janitorial Service and the groom is employed at Cal-Maine Foods.

Shower

The ladies of Warrenton Baptist Church honored the couple with a miscellaneous shower. Hostess was Wanda Wigley.
