Miss Roberts to wed Mr. Runyan June 20

David O. Roberts Jr. and Sherry Roberts of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany Zoe, to Charles Edwin Runyan III of Lake Charles, La. Mr. Runyan is the son of Dr. Charles Runyan Jr. and Kayleen Runyan of Heber, Ariz.
Miss Roberts is the granddaughter of Jack and Frances McCullough of Winnsboro, La., and David Roberts Sr., Viki Porter and Ruby Worthy, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. Runyan is the grandson of Charles and Beverly Runyan of Sargent, Texas, and Monecha Painter and the late Timothy Painter of Glendale, Ariz.
The bride-elect is a 2007 homeschool graduate. She was a member of the Debate Club, Library Council and Teen Pact. She served as president of Klub-4-Kids and received the MIT and Awana Citation.
Miss Roberts received pet groomer certification from PennFoster.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Berean Christian High School, where he graduated third in his class, was a Junior Marshall and received the MIT and Awana Citation.
He is a sophomore at McNeese State University, where he is studying chemistry and biology. He is a member of Students for Life, American Chemical Society and Premed Predent Society.
Mr. Runyan is a phlebotomist at Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital and is an undergraduate researcher for the McNeese Department of Chemistry.
The wedding will be at 1 p.m. June 20, 2009, at Berachah Church of Vicksburg. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
