Vicksburg High cruised to a pair of wins over Pearl and Ridgeland on Monday to cinch the Division 3-4A championship.

The Gators routed both teams by identical 6-1 scores. Donald Brown won a three-set match against Pearl, then won 6-0, 6-0 against Ridgeland. Christine Figueroa only dropped one game in her two girls singles matches, and her sisters Charlene and Catherine didn’t drop a set in two girls’ doubles matches.

In boys’ doubles, Fritz Valerio and Perry Wolfe won 6-4, 6-4 and 7-5, 6-1 at the top position, while at No. 2 Kiefer Slaton and Caleb White gutted out a tough 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 win over Pearl before beating Ridgeland 6-3, 7-6. Perry Tolliver and Grace Ga-as beat Pearl 6-0, 6-3, and Ridgeland 7-5, 6-1.
