From staff reports

Thanks to a University Christian split with Central Hinds earlier Tuesday and a 15-0 win over Rebul, Porters Chapel locked up a playoff berth.

PCA ace Montana McDaniel earned his first varsity no-hitter and ripped a two-run blast to propel the Eagles (15-7, 9-2 in District 5) to second place in district. The Eagles will travel in the first round of the Class A playoffs on April 21, with the time and their District 6 opponent yet to be determined.
