Services for Lureatha Moore will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest M.B. Church with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Service with the family being present from 5 until 6 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Vicksburg Police Sgts. Jackie Johnson and Randy Blake and Officers Bobby Jones, Ken Smith, Troy Kimble, John Nguyen, Eric Paymon, Johnny Edwards, Curtis Judge and Dewayne Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Durrell III, Gerald Clay, Eric Hall, Jerry Hall, Stanley Deshazer, Greg Durrell, Charles Hall Jr., Timothy Washington, Lester Smith and Danny Wilson.

Lureatha Moore of Vicksburg died Friday, April 3, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 74.

Mrs. Moore retired with over 40 years from Vicksburg Regional Medical Center. She was a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vicksburg Police Lt. Milton A. Moore Sr.; a daughter, Jeanette Hall; a son, Joseph Hall; her parents, Percy Hall Sr. and Corene Fantroy Hall; two brothers, Ernest Hall and Cardel Hall; and nine sisters, Daisy Thomas, Martha Mae Branch, Millie Strong, Nannie Mae Belton, Callie Allen, Della Staley, Ruby Lucas, Annie Mae Marley and Fannie Evans.

Mrs. Moore is survived by three sons, Timmy Hall (LaDonna), Milton A. Moore Jr. (Denise) and David Burden, all of Vicksburg; four daughters, Reatha Crear (Robert), Brenda Hall, Deidre Bell (Keith) and LaTarsha Burden, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Percy Hall Jr. of Vicksburg; two sisters, Mary Ellen Hall and Natalie Hall, both of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and members of the Hall, Crayton and Wilson families.
