Inez Evelyn Andrews

Inez Evelyn Andrews died Friday, April 10, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was 90.

Mrs. Andrews was a native of Kentwood, La. She was born on Oct. 13, 1918, to Joseph and Viola Blades in Kentwood and went home to be with her Lord on Good Friday, April 10, 2009, in Tupelo.

Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by Russell Puckett in 1968, after 30 years of marriage, in 1978 by Bill Williamson and in 1988 by Pete Andrews and grandson Brad Porter.

She was a longtime resident of Vicksburg, and a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg. She also worked for Saul Fried Furniture Store in Vicksburg for many years. 

Survivors include two sons, Russell Puckett Jr. of Vicksburg and Jerry Puckett and wife Shirley, of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Dianne Porter of Saltillo, Miss.; daughter-in-law, Donna Puckett of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Brian Porter and wife Jennifer of Saltillo, Ben Porter of Guntown, Miss., Chris Puckett of Little Elm, Texas, Tim Puckett of Corinth, Texas, and Melissa Sotelo of Krum, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Will and Ali Porter and Jacob, Lauren and Chloe Sotelo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg, with burial at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Monday until the service at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Andrews’ grandchildren.
